I attended NAAC earlier this month, which was a conference for enthusiasts that keep amphibians in captivity.  It was my first trip to the north eastern United States and the highlight of the weekend was visiting two carnivorous plant bogs where Sarracenea purpurea, Drosera rotundafolia and several species of Utricularia were observed.  We also had the good fortune of finding two lady slipper orchid species in bloom.
